   Iron Wood Classic Meet

Picture
Since 2014, the Iron Wood Classic has been one of the top throws-only competitions for  Olympians, Olympic hopefuls, and the best High School level throwers in the nation under the NSAF national governing body. Three American Record performances have been recorded at The Classic (W-HT, W-DT, W-SP). The Iron Wood Throwers Center is privileged to host this meet in late Spring every year. The meet features all 4 throwing events: Shot Put, Hammer, Discus and Javelin. The Classic was created to give throwers a world-class event and gain World Athletics points for ranking. We also offer prize money to aid athletes pursuing their Olympic dreams.

For 2026, we are pleased to announce that our Saturday meet will again be a World Athletics Bronze-level (C) meet, as a part of the USATF Tour/Continental Tour. World rankings points, as well as a $30,000 total prize purse!
